A Growing Need in Folsom

Powerhouse Ministries is a non profit interdenominational corporation serving families and individuals in crisis with love and mercy to meet their physical, emotional, educational, social and spiritual needs.

Powerhouse is committed to strengthening all aspects of individual and family life in the neighborhoods God has called us to serve.  Some of the people we minister to are families of prisoners at Folsom State Prison.  But most are just men and women dealing with ordinary, difficult and painful life events:  the loss of a job or home, drug and alcohol abuse, divorce and lack of child care or transportation.

They’re all damaged by the complexity and stress that modern life inflicts on low-income families.  Often cold, hungry and forgotten, they have few sources of help in Folsom.  And their children are at risk for perpetuating these problems.
